Vía España, also called Avenida Central España, is one of the three main arteries of the city. It runs through the Calidonia, Bella Vista, Pueblo Nuevo and Río Abajo corregimientos, and thousands of vehicles use it every day. The Metro has two stations along the avenue.
Because the avenue crosses several neighborhoods, the buildings along it date from different periods and serve different uses, and all of them share the street traffic. The outdoor air that enters through the intakes can carry road dust, so in premises facing the avenue the filters and the air intakes are looked at first. The visit is organized by address. The area is about 2 km by road from the Climatiza office, in an approximate calculation.
Data point: In an air system that looked clean to the naked eye, 10⁵ to 10⁶ viable bacteria per cm² were counted on the coil fins (Hugenholtz and Fuerst, 1992). It is a case measured in a single system, not a general figure, which is why the camera looks inside before deciding.
